Proposal ideas in Jupiter

Jupiter is the quiet, natural end of our map. Turquoise water at the inlet, a red brick lighthouse, wide beaches without high rises and a river that turns gold in the evening. It suits couples who want the proposal to feel calm and unhurried.

It is also one of the busiest sea turtle nesting areas in the country, so beach setups here take a little extra care. We plan around that so you never have to think about it.

Best spots

Where to propose in Jupiter

  1. 01

    Around the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse

The lighthouse is the landmark people think of first, and the river side of it is where the evening light is best. The grounds are run by the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum, so any setup on the property goes through them. We often use the lighthouse as a backdrop from a nearby public spot instead.

  2. 02

    DuBois Park

A county park on the inlet with a calm, shallow lagoon and a direct view of the lighthouse across the water. Great for a softer setup on the grass or sand, and the water is usually gentle enough to stand in for photos.

  3. 03

Jupiter Beach Park and the inlet jetty

On the south side of the inlet, with wide sand, boats coming and going and the lighthouse in view. A beach setup here at golden hour gets that soft pink sky over the ocean.

  4. 04

    Carlin Park

A long stretch of beach along A1A with a shaded park behind it. Easier to find a quiet patch of sand than at the inlet, especially on weekdays.

  5. 05

    The Riverwalk near Harbourside Place

A waterfront boardwalk along the Intracoastal with restaurants steps away. A good choice if you want a short walk, the question, then dinner nearby.

Sunset timing

When the light is best

Jupiter beaches face east, so at sunset the sun drops behind you and the sky over the ocean turns pastel. If you want to watch the sun itself go down over water, the inlet and the Loxahatchee River side face west and are the place to be.

We usually plan the moment 30 to 45 minutes before sunset. You get warm light for photos and time to enjoy the setup as the sky changes.

Parking

Getting there

  • County park lots near the inlet, like DuBois Park and Jupiter Beach Park, fill up early on weekends and in winter season. Plan to arrive 20 minutes earlier than you think.
  • Some beach accesses along A1A have small lots or paid parking. We send you exact parking directions with your plan.
  • Part of the beach along A1A is a dog beach. We steer clear of that stretch for setups.

Permits and rules

What we handle

Palm Beach County parks and the Town of Jupiter each have rules for organized setups and hired photographers. We check what applies to your spot and handle any permit. Fees are billed at cost.

Rules change. We confirm the current requirements for your exact spot before your date.

Local tips

  • In turtle season we skip bright lights on the sand and use warm, low candlelight and lanterns that point away from the water.
  • Winter evenings can be breezy at the inlet. Bring a layer for after the yes.
  • Pair a lighthouse proposal with dinner on the water nearby.

FAQ

Jupiter proposal questions

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly.

Can you set up on the beach in Jupiter during turtle season?

Yes, with care. We keep setups away from marked nests, use soft lighting that does not shine toward the water and remove everything that evening. Sometimes we suggest the inlet or a park instead for the best result.

What is the best time for a Jupiter proposal?

About 30 to 45 minutes before sunset. You get warm light for photos and still have time to enjoy the setup as the sky changes.

Can we propose at the Jupiter lighthouse?

The lighthouse grounds are managed by the museum, so a setup on the property needs their approval. We can ask for you, or use the lighthouse as a backdrop from a public spot across the water.

How much does a proposal setup in Jupiter cost?

Our packages in Jupiter start at $699 for The Moment, $1,199 for Golden Hour and $1,799 for The Statement. Custom proposals on rooftops, boats or private venues start at $2,500. Any venue or permit fees are billed at cost.
