Proposal ideas in Palm Beach

Palm Beach is elegant without trying. Hedges taller than houses, quiet beaches, old Mediterranean architecture and one of the best sunset walks in South Florida along the Lake Trail.

The island is also strict about parking and about commercial activity on public property. That is exactly why it helps to have someone who checks the rules before picking a spot.

Best spots

Where to propose in Palm Beach

  1. 01

    The Lake Trail

A paved path along the Lake Worth Lagoon on the west side of the island. It faces west across the water toward the West Palm Beach skyline, which makes it one of the few places in our area where you can watch the sun set over water. Perfect for a walk that ends with a simple setup.

  2. 02

    Worth Avenue and its vias

The small courtyards off Worth Avenue are full of fountains, bougainvillea and tile. They are private property, so we use them for a romantic walk and photos rather than a full setup, unless you have permission arranged.

  3. 03

    Midtown Beach

The town beach near Worth Avenue, easy to reach and lovely in the late afternoon. Best for a smaller, tasteful setup like a rose petal heart.

  4. 04

    Phipps Ocean Park

A town park on the south end of the island with a quieter beach. A good fit if you want more privacy than the beaches near Worth Avenue.

  5. 05

    Your hotel

If you are staying on the island, a garden, terrace or suite setup goes through the hotel events team. We coordinate with them for you as part of a Custom proposal.

Sunset timing

When the light is best

The ocean side of Palm Beach faces east, so sunset there is about soft color over the water. The Lake Trail faces west, and on a clear evening the sun goes down right over the lagoon.

We usually plan the moment 30 to 45 minutes before sunset. You get warm light for photos and time to enjoy the setup as the sky changes.

Parking

Getting there

  • Parking on the island is limited and closely enforced. Read every sign and pay the meter or app for longer than you need.
  • Near Midtown Beach and Worth Avenue there is metered street parking. Weekends in season fill quickly.
  • For the Lake Trail, a ride share drop-off often beats hunting for a space.

Permits and rules

What we handle

The Town of Palm Beach has specific rules for commercial photography and setups on public property. We confirm what is allowed for your exact spot before we commit to it and file anything required. Fees are billed at cost.

Rules change. We confirm the current requirements for your exact spot before your date.

Local tips

  • Palm Beach is quieter in summer. If you want privacy on the beach, a summer weekday is ideal.
  • Plan a stroll down Worth Avenue first. It gives you a natural reason to be on the island.
  • Dress up a little. It fits the setting and the photos.
