Privacy policy

Last updated November 3, 2026.

Down on One ("we", "us") plans marriage proposals. This policy explains what we collect, why and what we do with it. We keep it short because we collect very little.

What we collect

  • Booking details you give us: your name, email, phone, your partner's first name, date, city, location type, add-ons and notes about the proposal.
  • Payment information, which is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Messages you send through our contact or inquiry forms.
  • Basic technical data like your browser type and pages visited, collected by our hosting provider for security and performance.

How we use it

  • To plan and deliver your proposal and communicate with you about it.
  • To process payments and send receipts and balance reminders.
  • To keep records required for tax and accounting.

We never contact your partner. We do not sell your information or use it for third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

Only the services we need to run the business: Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Google Workspace (booking records) and Vercel (hosting). We may share necessary details with vendors working on your proposal, like a photographer, and with venues or agencies when a permit requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records for as long as needed for your event and for our legal and tax obligations, usually up to seven years. Ask us to delete your information at any time and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing hello@downonone.com.

Photos

We only share proposal photos publicly with your permission.

Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we update this policy we will change the date at the top of this page.
